Booka Shade Special Order In White Rooms Ep 2 (ep) (12 inch Vinyl) This is the second set of remixes of Booka Shade's "In White Rooms" single. While these new versions take the track to previously unexplored, exotic places, they still don't sacrifice its epic qualities. Walter and Arno themselves provide the first interpretation, inspired by the beaches of the Yucatan. The rhythms are more stripped down and glitchy, and the soaring bass isn't audible this time, but the overall feeling is spaced out, due to the haunting chords. Then, female Dutch DJ/producer Shinedoe brings her spinning expertise to bear with her version. Deep and swirling, yet jacking and acidic, Shinedoe's love of Detroit techno and Chicago house is united by a grainy bassline and a dramatic breakdown. It's musical techno, but it will still work in the main room of an underground club at peak times.
