Venetian Snares AB-CD Highlight From 2004 Huge Chrome Cylinder Box Unfolding Following an outstanding 2003 and the success of his "Chocolate Wheelchair" album, the ever popular Aaron Funk a.k.a Venetian Snares unleashes his 11th album - Huge Chrome Cylinder Box Unfolding. This guy is unstoppable. Chrome Cylinder showcases V.Snares' melodic side. No really. It's true. It's his most accessible record to date. Umm, it says here 'circuit-bent beats burrow into dry mournful chords creating an alien plastic atmosphere.' It's a departure from the crazy samples and jungle breaks of "Chocolate Wheelchair" towards a more considered sound - the stylistic sequel to 2002's "Winter In The Belly Of A Snake". But there are no vocal tracks here - Funk is trying to create an inhuman record that nevertheless connects with our emotions, in an unexpected way.
